We have visited Jamaica and enjoyed the nude environment at a resort with a private island. Now we are wondering if Hedonism is for us, and which of the three we might enjoy and feel comfortable in the most. We are an attractive couple just over 50. While we are free spirits, neither of us is sure of what to expect at a Hedo or a Hedo type resort. We would appreciate it if readers would describe the interaction they have experienced with other couples while at Hedonism. Is it just a nude atmosphere, does an openness exist where couples are just a bit freer in their actions, or do couples experience a little/much more than this. Hedo is a great resort that offers many different things to different couples. There is some PDA that goes on at the resort, but it is mostly later at night. The atmosphere itself is very open and there is a nude side and a prude side for those that do not wish to Party Naked Baby, but who wouldn't want to.

We are heading to Hedo III in January, we'll tell you more when we return.

May of 2004 my husband and I married at Hedo III, we were first timers and had the time of our lives. We are nudist but not swingers, neither is forced upon anyone and we experienced a great time and great people. There were people of all age groups there. There is a prude side, a nude side, and a clothing optional pool, for those who need to WARM UP. lol The only bad thing I can say about the resort if you consider it bad, is that the slide and large pool should be the nude area, just seems a waste that the large area is for the smallest amount of people at the resort. There is some PDA but it is pretty much confined to the hot tub parties late at night on the nude side and if you are uncomfortable with it, it is easy enough to avoid by just moving to the clothing optional hot tub. Everyone was friendly not pushy and if any unwanted solicitation is experienced a simple no thank you usually is enough. Have a great trip, wherever you choose.

We have been to both Hedonsim resorts several times mostly Hedo 3. The resort itself is very nice though a bit below the Grand Lidos. What makes Hedonsim unique is its atmosphere. It can be anything to everyone. Some might be put off by the sexualty. While the resort states it has apolicy against public sex(loosely enforced) it still occurs on occasion. Sometimes during the day around the nude pool and nude beach and regularly at night in and around the hottubs. Mostly at the nude pool but sometimes the quad as well. However everyone is respectful and no one will pressure you. Also I don't want to mislead you. Its not a non stop orgy. Its just that in certain areas at certain times there might be some discreet daytime public affection. At night at 2:00am around the hottub it is pretty regular and more open. It is wilder and more open depending on the groups there in any given week. PJ and Fantasy/costume theme night are also a great time and shouldn't be missed. you don't need to get involved in anything. Just enjoy the resort in whatever way you want. If you enjoy tanning in the buff you will fit right in.

I am going down for the first time on July 23-30 after some constant edging on by two good friends of mine. I am going down alone to check it out for myself. She has been three times and he went down for the first time last year....I have seen the pictures and heard the crazy stories and honestly I cannot wait. I am ready to "swing the bamboo" baby!! Hello, Hedonism III is a much younger crowd, but is much newer with more amenities. Some regulars have reported that it has gone down hill, but take that with a big grain of salt. Hedonism II has a wicked party atmosphere at night, especially the pajama party and toga night. My guess is that you'd love the nude beach during the day. Everyone is very down to earth and friendly and it really isn't crazy during the day. The rooms at Hedo II used to be mediocre at best, but none of us cared because we were never in them. However, Hedo II has put brand new televisions in the rooms, brand new double shower heads, built a day spa, brought in state of the art gym equipment. Another thing to consider, Hedo III is in Runaway Bay which is very limited if you want to venture out of the hotel, at least compared to Negil. Hedo II is in Negril, which has endless options if want to take a shuttle to go out and about and do just about anything that you can think of. Good luck with your decision.

We were at Hedo III in January and we had a blast. The resort was nice and the staff was great, but the people that we met there were what made our vaca. The whole crew we were with through Castaways was a lot of fun.
Could the resort use a little paint? Sure, but then again I have not seen a resort yet that was perfect. In addition, our belief has always been the same, it's not always where you stay, but who your there with. With the right group of people a dung heap could be fun.
